The Germany Schengen Visa is a travel document authorization for travelers who want to enter one of the 26 countries of the Schengen area. You can only travel around for a maximum of 90 days within 180 days.
The visa is valid for tourism, family visits, and business trips.

Germany Visa application fee in Ghana
Payment options: You can pay with a Debit or credit card.
The fee for processing a visa application is 80 Euros. The visa fee is only payable in cash in Ghana Cedis at the current exchange rate of the Embassy. The processing fee is not refundable in case of denial of the visa.
Visa application forms are free of charge and are available on the website of the Embassy. Due to the high number of visa applications, documents handed in prior to the appointment date will not be accepted.
How To Apply For Germany Visa In Ghana
All citizens of Ghana must apply for the Germany Schengen Visa before traveling. Although you need a Germany Schengen Visa to travel, you also need a Germany Schengen Visa Application Form as a requirement to apply for this kind of visa.
If you don’t have your Germany Schengen Application Form, you will not be able to apply for the Germany Schengen Visa for citizens of Ghana.
All applicants for visas must book an appointment through the Online Appointment system of the German Embassy.

The first thing you need to do when applying for a German visa is to find the German Embassy in your country, and then you can proceed with the following steps:
- Fill out the online visa application form with the required information then select the processing time.
- Prepare the required documents and submit them.
- Set up an interview date at the embassy/consulate.
- Submit your fingerprints.
- Pay the visa application fee.
- Once the visa application for Germany is approved, you will be notified by e-mail.
- Pick up your passport from Germany embassy
- You can now travel to Germany and stay for the duration on your visa.
Germany Visa processing duration in Ghana
The processing time for visa applications (short stay) takes up to 15 days. If long-term residence permits or visas for employment in Germany are applied for, the processing time will be up to several months.
However, keep in mind that the time it takes to process your visa application is dependent on several factors such as the staff available at the visa office, the time when you apply for the visa (off-season or in-season), and whether you submit a completed application or not.
