Senior Social Scientist at Golder 

Key Duties And Responsibilities Will Include

  • Provide visible leadership is HSSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environmental) stewardship.
  • Lead the team on all specialist social studies across projects.
  • Develop strong client interactions and business development on social studies and advisory type of works.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and social assessments.
  • Write proposals for environment and social projects.
  • Support the execution of environmental and/or social projects including:
  • Write and/or review environmental and social impact assessment reports.
  • Prepare and implement Social Action Plans on related projects including resettlements and due diligence requirements.
  • Perform audits and provide specialist opinion and recommendations to clients.
  • Provide training support and mentorship to peers and junior social scientists.
  • Lead the social team to successful delivery of projects through gathering and interpretation of field data, delivery of written reports and assist in project management and administration.
  • Work closely with line manager and Business Unit Leads who will be responsible for guiding your development in the consulting field.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

  • Masters’ degree in social sciences or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable and progressive experience in the social sciences discipline (Social impact assessment, involuntary resettlement planning and compensation; livelihood restoration and stakeholder engagement).
  • Applied understanding of, and proven experience in international and lender standards.
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in the broad social science consulting field.
  • Progressive project experience in Ghana and West Africa.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office suite of software, MS Project
  • A Ghanaian national, or holder of a valid transferable work permit will be an advantage.
  • Proven ability to build business and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Demonstrate a high level of business acumen, to deal well with clients, work in multi-disciplinary teams, be problem solvers and be passionate about investing in their career growth.
  • A high level of attention to detail, technically strong in your specialist field and with a recognised and growing professional profile.
  • Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
  • Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to write well, and
  • Multilingual skills will be an advantage, particularly French.

Procurement  Coordinator at Puma Energy

Key Responsibilities:

Import and Export Coordinator at Tullow Oil 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies to mitigate associated import and export costs by liaising with Suppliers, Manufacturers, Service Companies, and FPSOs provider regularly to ensure delivery dates of materials and equipment are met without any delays.
  • Process statutory exemptions, regulatory permits and licenses, and other government approvals for materials and equipment.
  • Work closely with all Customs House Agents and Freight Forwarders to ensure integration of Tullow import and export of materials and equipment are aligned to the Ghana Customs Management System and the ICUMS that can win the confidence of GNPC, Customs and the Government of Ghana.
  • Assist Import and Export Team Lead on Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearance Contracts, to ensure contractual compliance, timely and cost-effective logistics and supply chain solutions.
  • Provide logistics contracting strategies, annual budgets, and serve as a trouble-shooter and deal with problems inherent with logistics contracts.
  • Evaluate logistics contract documents, to ensure materials and logistics elements within the major contracts are captured appropriately and professionally without any reduction in EHS policies & guidelines, TGL Code of conduct and TGL Shipping instruction standards.

Skills

  • Previous oilfield expediting/logistics experience.
  • Extensive background in clearing & forwarding of Oilfield or other heavy equipment in and out of Ghana.
  • Complete understanding of significant legal and commercial issues within supply chain.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with diverse business drivers and variables.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven capabilities to perform as a team player.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work under pressure.

Education And Experience

  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, CIPS, CILT or related discipline.
